Privacy notice
This notice explains, in plain English, what we do with the details you give us when you ask HandyFix for a quote. We keep it short because we only collect what we need.
Who we are
HANDYFIX PROPERTY MAINTENANCE LTD (company number SC836978) is the controller of your personal data. If you have any questions about this notice or your data, email brad@handyfixproperty.co.uk.
What we collect
When you use the quote form we collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and postcode
- the type of job and the job details you write in your message
- how you'd prefer us to contact you
To help us block spam, the email we receive also shows the date and time the form was sent and the IP address it was sent from. If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email instead, we use the details you give us in the same way.
Why we use it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and to give you a quote. We don't use them for marketing and we never sell them.
Our lawful basis
Under UK GDPR we rely on:
- steps before a contract – you've asked us for a quote, and we need your details to give you one
- legitimate interests – replying to people who contact us, and keeping our form free of spam
Who sees it
Your enquiry is emailed to our own inboxes. We don't sell or share your details with anyone else, except the companies that provide our email and website hosting, who handle the data on our behalf so the site and our mailboxes work.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 12 months and then delete them. If your enquiry turns into a job, we keep the details for as long as we need them for our business records, such as invoices and accounts.
Cookies and other websites
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking, and it doesn't load any embedded content from other companies. Our fonts and images are served from our own site.
The site links to WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, MyBuilder and Google. If you follow one of those links, you leave our site and that company's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email brad@handyfixproperty.co.uk and we'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
